Content Marketing Growth

"The global content marketing industry will grow at an annual rate of 16% per year through 2021, reaching $412 billion by the end of 2021".

This is A) from a recent Forbes piece, stating how big brands are going all-in on content marketing and B) great news that reaffirms why we decided to start Tent Communications. 

Content - particularly great content - cuts through the ceaseless banner ads and ad junk that appears like flies on people's screens. It helps people learn or at the very least be amused, and it helps companies promote themselves to generate business.

But! It's important not to be too high-minded or misleading about a company's mission or purpose - you might be seen a bit of fraud: as one snappy Twitterer wrote this week in response to a tweet from Mars Inc. about "purpose": "You make chocolate bars." Businesses need to make money, and they need to make themselves known to other businesses and the public.

Accordingly, while we're happy to see more and more companies recognizing the importance of content marketing, we'll make sure to keep it free of artificial ingredients.
